Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: She was born in a small forest village. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Joan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Joan. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Eleanor enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she loathes her own lifestyle

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Money/treasure.
