History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

When his father died while fighting drow, the young Nicholas began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He got into the Beggar business at a young age. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He's also a talented Navigator, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and balancing his hectic life and new beggar responsibilities is difficult

She disdains her fellow westerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
