His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying west to reunite his family. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.
