History: Richard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Heather grew up listening to her mother's many stories. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sword.
