History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of illithids

History: She was born into a rich family. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. She would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Rosamund took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up greataxe and armor she uses now. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
