History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Simon was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

History: Giselle was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
