History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. During her travels, Adelaide and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Adelaide discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Adelaide fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Susannah grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Susannah. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
