Description: This slender man stands about 6'0". He has a large black mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into his brown robe. He sports a long white beard, and similarly colored long hair. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady green eyes.
Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Description: She is renowned for her bright blue dresses and hats, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 5'6" when asserting herself. Her black hair is knotted and matted. Her amber eyes peer out from beneath her feathered blue hat.
Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.
History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she desires power and/or immortality

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Guard born in the past three hundred years. She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.
History: Rosalind hails from a village terrorized by giants. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.
Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and retire the richest woman in the south

Description: This northern man is abnormally tall. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. He wears his silver hair down. His eyes are amber and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He plays an instrument quite well.
History: Roland lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He bought a shield and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
Motivation: To unite with his brother.
