History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Thomas decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Gerald was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
