History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: She thrives on attention. She does whatever is in her power to gain the attention of whomever she deems a fit date. Her job bores her to no end. She has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Scribe responsibilities is difficult.
