History: Born in the south to a Engraver, Matilda learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Matilda took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor she uses now. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Sarah speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature crossbow.
