The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She bought a hammer and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

History: Born in the south to a Knight, Joan learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She tends to her Knight job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Knight responsibilities is difficult.

Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Melissa never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
