She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Joan grew up listening to her mother's many stories. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She came across an abandoned tomb where she found a relic that called out to her. After picking it up she was cursed by vampirism.
