History: Born in the north to a Bather, Simon learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born to a Priest, her father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Barrister hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Maynild never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Server. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
