History: Born to a Soapmaker, her father struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Shoemaker, and she later adopted a second son.

History: Juliana was born with her mother's beautiful face. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Miles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Miles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
