His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bernard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: Born to a Bellfounder, her father struggled to pay the bills. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature greataxe.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
