Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. Ernest is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of a Map Maker, who enjoyed hunting, Ernest was taken on many hunting expeditions. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Ernest never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Heward was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
