History: Hugh lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with music. He constantly tries to fill his life with music. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He has never given up on his music dream.
