History: Born to a Layabout, her father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Tailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Through the years after Matilda was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Matilda's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born in a small island village. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting drow, the young Herleva began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by drow. Herleva was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the drow.
