Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 7 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Oriel never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: Heward lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. The war was a terrible time for him, and Heward does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in a small forest village. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and to share knowledge with the world
