History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Aldous was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aldous decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Gardener kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She's also a talented Shipwright, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
