History: He got into the Mason business at a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Hugolina has worked very hard to control her curse. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
