History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Katherine was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She tends to her Dilettante job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and expand her business

In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Raymond alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult; and a deep hatred of dire rats
