He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Courier who has hired him part-time. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and a deep hatred of dire rats

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Aldous has worked very hard to control his curse. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Everard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he is greedy
