History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Weaver. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Elysande was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Williamina's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Williamina and her spouse have recently divorced.
