History: Gifted from a young age, Anselm studied abroad. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Hugh is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He is a Metallic Dragon in disguise. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
