History: Adelard hails from a village terrorized by goblins. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her first spouse was a Roofer, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Roofer they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Bellfounder, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
