History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
