Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. His moppish chestnut hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born to a Knight, his mother struggled to pay the bills. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Carpenter for the past few years.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and an old rival family wants him found

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. Her hair is brown and curly. Her violet eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: She got into the Engraver business at a young age. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
