History: Herleva hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: Born in the south to a Detective, Eva learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes
