History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Susannah alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
