Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Bernard was born on a far southern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dilettante. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: She got into the Guard business at a young age. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. In the meantime she has taken over work as a Guard and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Her brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes orcs are coming to abduct people. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
