History: Heward was born with his father's beautiful face. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: Hadwisa was born with her father's beautiful face. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Cartwright. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 5 years.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Barrister responsibilities is difficult; and further expansion of business

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. The war was a terrible time for her, and Margery does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and she feels kind of lost in life
