History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. A true patriot, Avice would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Gomory is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born to a Spy, his father struggled to pay the bills. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Spy they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bounty Hunter, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and regain custody of his daughter
