History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Charles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His childhood dream was to be a Ploughman, but he was a colossal failure. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Charles was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the drow.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: Mary lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and wants to raise her children well
