Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Richard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Richard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now mingles about in high society.

History: Helen was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and expand her business
