History: Theobald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he has decided he is irredeemable
