Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Gerard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Marshal profession.

History: Born in the east to a Tanner, Gerard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Tanner work with an outfit from a few towns over. Tanner work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

Description: This woman is tall and muscular. She is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright yellow and green, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. Her hair is black, silky, and of moderate length. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs.

He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His eyes are likewise blue. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Actor. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Revenge.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: To end her boredom.
