History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hugh grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When Hugh reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
