History: Born in the west to a Miller, Hugh learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He became a Miller soon after.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
