History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Map Maker who has hired her part-time. She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Being a Map Maker kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: Adelard hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his painting career. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Adelard was born the youngest of three triplets. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He tends to his Mortician job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 49. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and money/treasure
