He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. After a long history of fighting, Nicholas and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Reynard is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Reynard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Reynard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Reynard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
