History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Cecily was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Cecily's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Gifted from a young age, Ernest studied abroad. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Healer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Gilbert was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Locksmith. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.
