History: Born to a Barrister, his father struggled to pay the bills. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and a deep hatred of goblins
