History: Joan was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Brewer but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was born in the east. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
