Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Mary was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Katherine is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Katherine has worked very hard to control her curse. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Map Maker for the past few years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Gifted from a young age, Gilbert studied abroad. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 5 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gilbert never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
