History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Performer. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he's looking for his big break

Personality: She is a Gardener first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She has worked as a Gardener like her father before her.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and to share knowledge with the world

She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 5'9" when asserting herself. Her hair is red and curly. Her eyes are gray and beady.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Farmer born in the past three hundred years. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Farmer responsibilities is difficult; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother
