History: Aldous was born the youngest of three triplets. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Personality: Ralf wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gifted student he started as a Layabout, but he got bored and became a Carter. He has worked as a Carter like his father before him.

Motivation: To be a Layabout again; and sabotage a competitor

She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and to share knowledge with the world
