Through the years after Matilda was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Description: This woman stands a little under 5'5" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. She wears her brown hair up in a very large beehive style do. Her brown unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. The war was a terrible time for her, and Jane does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born to a Mason, her father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down
