History: Aldous hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She has all her life been fascinated with singing.
